Camping
There are three areas in connection with the festival where camping is allowed. These camping areas are on land owned by local villagers who are kindly letting us use their land for camping. So please, campers, respect this situation and follow these rules:
- Do not litter or throw garbage around the tents/camping areas.
- Bring your waste and recycle it in the recycling system on the festival area.
- Do not make any fires.
- Do not smoke, except in designated areas.
- Carefully read and understand the fire and smoking rules provided.
- In case/risk of fire: use one of the many black, marked, designated 12 L water buckets placed around the camping areas.
- There are hand washing and sanitizing stations on the camps. Use them for hand washing only and please save water.
No showers are available. Fancy a swim or a quick dip? Bring your swim gear and jump into the lake or in the river (take extra care).

Travelling to the festival
The festival is located in the small village Åfors located more or less in a centre between Kalmar, Växjö, and Karlskrona. Just on the crossing of roads 25 and 28 you’ll find Eriksmåla. From there it’s 2 km to Åfors, direction north-west on Glasbruksvägen.
Location: Potatisgatan 3, Åfors (GPS: 56.7481, 15.4982)
Distances:
- from Kalmar: road 25 west 60 km
- from Växjö, road 25 east 50 km
- from Karlskrona, road 28 north 80 km
Parking
No parking is allowed on Potatisgatan, on Glasbruksvägen, or at the camp sites.
There is a large open space behind the old glass factory in Åfors that can be used for parking on your own responsibility. GPS: 56.7470, 15.4958
Do not park on the unpaved area to the right of the factory building (behind the bus stop sign) since the boule tournament is held there.
Costs and donations
A festival of this kind cannot be arranged without any costs, unfortunately. We are not selling any admission tickets, but we’ll accept (and hope for) generous donations to prevent the total costs from getting out of control. To keep the total costs down, the festival has been built up using dumped and recycled building materials.
Artist fees and travel costs, rental fees for sound/light equipment, and costs for sound/light technicians are the main expenses we have.
When donating, bear in mind what daily fees you would have paid if you had attended another festival having this level of commitment.
Donations are done either by:
- Cash donations (to the cash box at the “SoBar – so good” bar)
- Swish transfer to number 076 112 5375
(OCR codes with pre-set values of 100:-, 200:- and 500:- are posted on the main billboard) - Paypal payment (email address for Paypal payments Peter.Berthelsen@telia.com is posted on the billboard)
Payments for food and drink are made using the Potato Token system. You can buy tokens and use them when buying food and drink on the festival area. The tokens come in different shapes and sizes, but the unified price is 5 tokens for 100 SEK.
Restrooms
There are 2 restrooms available in the main house on Potatisgatan 3. The rest of the house is closed for festival participants.
Recycling
There is a recycling area behind the dish washing section (large wooden shelf system) with mandatory sorting of waste in several fractions such as paper, plastic, metal, compost, glass, cans, and PET bottles.
Please, sort all your waste accurately in marked containers, sacks, and boxes, according to the instructions.
Fire precaution and protection
No smoking, use of matches, lighters, candles, scent sticks, or cooking on campings stoves anywhere in the festival area, barn area, or campings. Beware of the extreme fire hazard and risks in the fields, woods, and nature.
In case/risk of fire:
- there are fire extinguishers placed at stages and at the DJ desks in the Barn, or
- make use of the many black, marked, designated 12 L water buckets placed around the festival area, barn area, and at the campings.
Smoking areas
For smoking, please use one of the 2 designated and marked areas. One smoking spot is on the paved road outside the mainhouse and one other smoking spot is near the Barn camp.
There are fire extinguishers placed at stages and at the DJ desks in the Barn.
No drugs
This is a completely drug free festival. No use of drugs, including laughing gas are permitted.
Accidents and emergencies
The festival nurse is Fatima Berthelsen, an experienced nurse for several years before and during her studies to be a midwife. Please note that for serious emergency situations, call 112 immediately.
Covid-19 prevention
The Covid infection is unfortunately still among us and seems to be slightly growing. We urge you to be aware of this and:
- if you are having symptoms or feeling unwell, please do not participate in the festival
- keep a reasonable distance, wash and sanitize your hands at the designated hand washing stations
Safety
Please note that the festival areas have been a building site for weeks up until the last minute. So, beware of building/construction parts, pieces of wood and residue on the ground: Watch your step!
This includes walking on the paths, the camps, in the barn and the surroundings. Be careful!
